Call it cliché or not, I love setting new goals and redirecting my focus to something fun and challenging as we begin a new year. Despite the fact I’m childish enough to still look forward to celebrating ‘’surviving’’ yet another year as January is my month of Birth, paired up with a ‘’skinny wallet’’ It’s usually a pretty slow and drag of a month.
Since my little BIG bump is soon due, running the half marathon is not on the list this year, so I thought it would be cool to indulge in some other challenges for this year; HELPING you nail those fun and intriguing arm balances.
Now don’t get me wrong, you are as much of a ‘’successful’’ yogi whether this is in your repertoire and interest or not But if you feel like you don’t get enough time covered for the arm balances in your regular practice and group class, this Series will fix that.
| JANUARY 16,23, 30’th & February 6’th 2016
Join Anchelique for an hour and a half Arm Balance workshop! SATURDAYS 2.30-4PM, COST €100 for all 4 or €35 for a single.
It’s time to play and where better to do that then with friends on your mat at Freemyme! We’re turning things upside down, inside out and challenging you to look to what’s possible even if it looks maybe a wee bit impossible.
I love arm balances and would love to show you the techniques and the skills necessary to nail them. In this workshop series we’ll artfully and skilfully open your body and help you ready yourself with weekly ‘’tasks’’ so you can try some of these ‘tricks’ on your own and be prepared for the following level. Think fun, think possible, think ready for exploring what you can do, rather than can’t. All you need is an open level practice and a desire to challenge yourself. We will go over poses like titibasana, eka pada koundinyasana I & II, eka pada galavasana, eight limbed staff pose, and a few others. If all these names seem like gibberish then forget the names and come fly with us anyway, we promise to speak English once you get there. You will laugh, you will sweat and you will definitely surprise yourself, I promise
